Problem Statement
Content creators are looking for a space where they can share their work, get feedback and connect with other creators, without the pressure of algorithms, posting times, and stressing over the number of likes and follows.
Research
I conducted a direct and indirect competitor analysis on 10 apps. Below is a highlight on one of those apps.

INSIGHTS ON DIVE+ APP
Strengths
Creator centric / Strong community presence / Features needed to share, edit content, and connect are centralized
Weaknesses
Icon meaning is unknown / User flow and navigation is unclear / Sizing of elements is inconsistent
Gaps
With the potential to create a strong community, the app is lacking in clarity, information, and overall navigation

Behind The Design
Based on my research, I designed an app feature that allows users to connect, share, and build a community with like-minded people.
Below are the screens that highlight the features needed to ensure a good user experience.

FOLLOWING
The emphasis is on building a connection with those you follow, so you won’t be bombarded by the number of likes. Instead, the focus is on the comments.
SAVED GALLERY
A community is a place for inspiration. The saved section allows you to easily access and organize your favorite photos between yours and the community.

EXPLORE
It’s time to connect with Explore! This section highlights the content instead of cluttering the screen with copy, comments...etc.
Outcome
DELIVERABLES
Designed and prototyped an app feature that connects like-minded individuals who use GoPro.
VALUES

The emphasis on so many social apps is on status. This feature is to steer away from numbers and algorithms and focus on connection and community.
