Before establishing a design system and layout for the redesign, we took time to consider the user's journey when scrolling through the home page. The existing issues included: lack of clear calls-to-action, blocks of copy with no clear structure, and difficulty for users to quickly scan the page.
Our approach to creating a better user experience was minimal design with clear, concise headers to aid users in scanning and navigating. We restructured the layouts and added sections to better tell a story and help users navigate the home page. This page acted as a summary of what users can expect from the remaining pages. To help the business build trust with their users, we added additional sections such as About, What We Offer, Testimonials and FAQs.

The side-by-side comparison of the original website and the revised version showed that it lacked elements to guide users and build trust. Building trust was a key goal of this project, as the client wanted to boost sales and promote their free resources.
To build trust, we addressed the UX issues outlined in the "Solution" section and implemented a design system. We chose dark blue as the primary color, paired with an off-white to convey professionalism, trust, and sophistication. We darkened the original light blue and used it as the primary CTA to create sufficient contrast.
The final deliverables included 2 versions of the home pages with slight differences in the UI. The design was handed over in a Figma file to a development team.
